I was approached by TIME magazine to create illustrations for a Purina advertisement on a new product. The product was a new cat food that targets the bacteria in saliva which causes allergies. The illustrations were to be friendly, approachable, and compliment the content created within the article.

The project consisted of a hero illustration combined with five mini illustrations. The work was published inside the front cover of the November 2022 issue, in addition to online.

We started the project by creating scamps of the illustrations. After those were approved by TIME and Purina, I moved on to styling and digitizing each.

The digitized illustrations have a line art styling. A monochromatic palette was used and Purina red was utilized to highlight minimal portions of the work.

The final spread layout (below) put together by the team at TIME turned out excellent and worked great with the illustrations, resulting in an incredibly happy client.
